EXPERIENCED DRUPAL DEVELOPER (October 2011) – 2months contract , Lagos We are looking for an experienced Drupal developer with an ability to build extensions & modules based on detailed software algorithm, project specifications and/or simple instructions. The ideal candidate will also be
able to act on his/her own initiative and bring a wealth of experience in programming of the drupal framework to a specific client project.
Bincom is a fast growing ICT solutions and consulting firm focused on the best use of technology (old,new, emerging, and future) to solve client issues. We are focused on a global market but are headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria.
This is a contract role for a project estimated to last 2months (end to end). The role may however transit to a permanent placement based on performance.
LOCATION OF JOB: Onikan, Lagos, Nigeria
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Contract – Part time
DURATION: 2 months
KEY ROLE: Drupal Developer (Open Source)
• An extensive understanding & working knowledge of the Drupal CMS framework .
• A demonstration of previous Web Development experience using PHP is a key requirement . (Please provide as much details in your cover note)
• Extremely good knowledge of HTML, PHP and MySQL.
• Basic understanding of CSS , SEO (writing and structuring a website for search engines) & User engagement principles.
• Good communication skills, a team player with a creative and open approach who can follow a detailed brief.
• Must be very “Tech-Savvy” and know a little bit about anything IT
• A great command of Open Source tools to augment core coding .
• An Individual with high standards who strives for excellence in all endeavors .
• Installing and configuring the modules in Drupal
• Great understanding of a wide range of Drupal modules for complex websites, such as e-commerce stores, property portals, discussion forums.
• Good knowledge of configuring permissions for interactive websites.
• Understanding of Drupal CCK (Content Construction Kit) , Views and understanding of best practice in Drupal
• Ability to work with a team of developers to deploy an enterprise project.
• Fluent English
EDUCATION QUALIFICATION:
• Minimum of an OND, HND, BSc or their equivalent from any reputable higher Institution is desirable for the role but not essential .
